Downey Adult School presents a 600 hour massage therapy program designed to teach students through and in-depth 25/32 week program.

Upon completion, students will have learned the necessary skills to work and succeed in an ever changing field, with possible career opportunities in chiropractic offices, spas, hospital, physical/ sports therapy offices, health and wellness clinics, cruise ships , and self-employed private practices.

Certifications available

Attendance and/or graduation from a California Massage Therapy Council approved school does not guarantee certification by CAMTC. Applicants for certification shall meet all requirements as listed in California Business and Professions Code section 4600 et. Seq.

Employment of massage therapists is projected to grow 23 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations. Continued growth in the demand for massage services will lead to new openings for massage therapists.
