Basic Private Security Academy

This one week, 40 hour course is a comparative examination of the relationship of the criminal justice system and physical security. It provides an overviews of the administrative, personnel, physical aspects of the security field. Upon completion of this course, student will be able to apply for BSIS CA licensure as an Unarmed Security Office. Each student will receive training in the following: • Roles & Responsibility of Security Officers • Weapons of Mass Destruction • Observation and Documentation • Communication and Its Significance • Radio Procedures • Active Shooter
• Workplace Violence • Handling Difficult People • Public Relations • Officer Safety • Post Orders and Assignments • Traffic and Crowd Control
